Matias & Mathias
Matias Rygh and Mathias Nordli Eriksen have been making films together since they were sixteen. The award-winning filmmaking duo are known for bridging cinematic visuals with unexpected humor, always treating absurdity and naturalism with the same craft-driven approach, attention to detail, and formal control.
Recent work includes the Google campaign “Vanilla,” which is set in a normal seeming world except all phones have been replaced with ice cream cones. Other notable work includes campaigns for Olga Basha, Samsung (“Join the Flip Side”), Reese’s (“Don’t Eat Lava”), Dollar Shave Club, and Hedvig Insurance. Their work has been recognized at major industry festivals, including Cannes Lions, Eurobest, and Epica.
The duo recently completed the narrative short film “Season Finale” as they continue to refine a style that is unmistakably their own.
